Thought y’all might want to know, Jack Mahler took off on Dec 18 to unicycle the Baja Divide. You can follow his occasional posts on Instagram- @cascadian_jackal. Go Jack!

Plenty of death mud in that section. If there was any rain the trail might not even be good to walk. That whole section would fall under snow/mud detour if necessary.

Got a text from him. "I am taking a road detour due to snow and peanut butter mud."

I hope all is well with Jack Mahler, I see he's taken a jaunt off route. That's a pretty long way to go if he's hitting Clint's Well, but if you need food/water, etc. It's gotta be done.

I'm guessing he found the trail impassable from the snow last night, and decided to take a detour to reach Mormon Lake. Hopefully I'll talk to him when he gets there, and find out what happened.

Jalene and I are here at Picketpost waiting for him. He is about 5 miles out, mostly good riding.  We will make sure he is good to go :-)

Thank you! Looks like he's almost there!

I was just talking about this to George (Harris) before I refreshed this thread.  Depending on when he rolls through, we may be able to make it out there to greet him.

Kinda worried about him. He's still 8 1/2 miles out and crawling. Or am I just being a crazy mom?

I wonder if anybody will be at Picketpost tomorrow, to see Jack complete the 300 mark.
