Unlike last year, it doesn't look like it was a good year for the ladies.  Hopefully another female goes out for an ITT so we get a finisher.

Makes me wanna ITT!!!!!!!!

Was just asked to let everyone know that Ben Miller is a scratch.  He is in Gunnison with GI issues.

So glad you found it helpful!! I'm working on some different flavor variations. Let me know if you have any ideas/suggestions.

I did not finish.  But it was an exciting adventure and an incredible experience.  I learned a lot!!!  Happy to share my experience with you (I made a blog about it):  https://lmariewalsh.wordpress.com/2015/08/10/colorado-trail-race-day-1/

Was out riding 10 Mile today with Teresa Garcia and we ran into "Geek on a Bike", Mike Kunneke.  Mike looked full of energy as he told us that he believed he was the DFL finisher for the 2015 CTR!!!  He shared his wisdom with us.  For example, "Don't ride at night and you won't need a dynamo hub".  "Don't ride with gears and your shifter won't break".  Bwahahaha!  Good advise!!! We got to wish him well and he let us snap some photos with him.

Go Mike go!!!!!!!!

If you noticed my Spot hasn't moved in awhile... it's because I dropped out at Clear Creek Res, just after BV. My shifter blew up (as did my Dynamo hub/light setup).  I could've ridden back to BV or converted it to a SS and biked on to Leadville, but... I didn't WANT to do either of those things. Instead, I found a nice cool shady spot and laid down.  It felt good. I felt good. I felt happy with what I accomplished and felt good about my experience thus far.  I knew I COULD finish if I wanted to. I've ridden most all of the trail from this point to Denver.  But when I considered what I stood to gain/lose by pushing forward, it didn't make sense.  I wasnt breaking a record and wouldn't be proving anything to anybody by pushing forward.  What an amazing experience. What an exciting adventure!!! Thank you for cheering me on!!!

Does anyone else see the weirdness with the trackleaders page? It seems like all the CTR racers have been replaced with Transcontinental racers. I just want to make sure I'm not the only one seeing that.
I see it too.  I'll send a message to Scott Morris

Scott says I made the spreadsheet, and should be good to go.  I guess they haven't uploaded the batch just yet.

I signed up a long time ago (7/5/15) and still don't see my dot.  I'm waiting to hear from Scott Morris about it.  I probably did something wrong somehow.

Oh!  I see (thanks Matt!!!).  Take Halfmoon to 300, briefly east on 300 then north on Rd5, then north on 9, then it becomes 99 just before it rejoins the old route on 24.  It rejoins 24 after the 91 intersection.  It is 1.8miles shorter with 213feet less of climbing.

I can't do all that.  So.. You come to Mt Ebert TH, go right (north) on Halfmoon Cr.... Then what?

I don't think I understand which route you take to bypass Leadville.  Is there a map?

Nice suggestions. I made a mix with some of your recs for my Kokopelli ride yesterday. It really does help you get through some of the mentally challenging parts. My fav for the day was Turn Down For What!!

A few songs come to mind along a certain theme of keeping moving:
I Still Can't Stop by Flux Pavilion (if yer into dubstep)
Bullet Train by Stephen Swartz (feat. Joni Fatora) (... can't stop this bullet train ...)
Sure Shot by Beastie Boys ('cuz you can't and you won't and you don't stop ...')

Yes!!! Great suggestions!!!! Totally putting these on my list!!
