haha tim, I know your a beast and can ride nonstop for months at a time but this mere mortal will be happy if he even makes it to utah.

So for those few thinking of attempting this has anyone figured out how to get back to civilization after the finish?  I know there's a shuttle from flag but what would be the best way to get to flag from utah?

I'm out, ran out of water today and rode without for about an hour or so.  By the time I reached the spring I was in a pretty bad way. Planned on riding back on the highway but lost my last tube at the lake to some mystery puncture that I can't figure out.  Hitchhiking failed so I'm drinking beer while waiting on the most expensive taxi of my life right now

A quality pair of shorts with a good chamois (forget the $20 generic shorts), a good saddle that fits you, chamois cream, and many many miles to harden your butt

I'm trying out the thermarest haven this weekend, 20 degrees and very packable

sweet, count me in for a dixie lite run!  I'll be doing a friday start though as I need to be back in tucson on monday

Hey dave, is there any more info forthcoming on the dixie-lite?  I'd love to do the 311 but I'm not sure that I can find the time for it

I paid $8 from Pearl Izumi and love 'em. I'd recommend everyone buy a pair. They double as toilet paper in extreme situations also, for those lightweight weenies worried about grams.

Your word is good enough for me.  I picked up a pair the yesterday and was really tempted by the cooling shirts and leg coolers, in the end I just got the arm coolers to try them out

Panaracer rampage have been treating me fairly well, they may not be the fastest or lightest tire but they are durable

How did the arm coolers work for you?  I'm thinking of using them for kmc

Just finished watching it and it was great.  My only gripe is that the dvd itself is pretty flimsy, I almost bent it in half getting it out of its case

I got a response from the mike the ride the divide guy.  He said that dvd's will ship around may 23.
