Yeah, the food and lodging thing could be tricky. Here in Minnesota, campgrounds are closed for now. So even tenting might be a challenge. But I wonder about piecing together links between larger cities with more services. Ugh! What a great time to bike. What a terrible time to bike.

Folks, I'm a long-time listener, first-time caller...

My two buddies and I do a several-day bikepacking trip, usually relying on hotels and restaurants/grocery stores. Past trips: St. Paul to Chicago, K.C. to St Louis via Katy Trail, and Pittsburgh to D.C. on Allegheny/Gap trails.

We have a trip scheduled for late May from roughly Indianapolis to Pittsburgh to follow the Great American Rail Trail.

What is everyone's thoughts about taking on a trip like this during the pandemic? The three of us would probably be at risk spreading it to each other, but I think we could be socially distant from others. But we will also be away from our local heath care facilities. Conundrum: it is at once the best times and the worst times to do some long distance biking.

Thoughts?
