Pretty miserable for the guys going through Missouri yesterday and today.  Torrential rain and flooding due to tropical storm Bill.  Evan had to ride through most of the night in it to get to Marshfield, the only place with a motel to get out of the weather for like 100 miles on the route.

I'm in Marshfield, MO and tried getting pics of Jesse, but he stopped somewhere before he got to me and his spot was not showing him.  It showed him at the Dairy Queen for over an hour but he wasn't there, it got too dark for photos, so I stopped looking for him.  Anyway, he was actually about 8 hours behind the time of Mike Hall when I got pics of him last year at the same intersection.

Excellent! My wife is marketing manager for Pivot, would it be OK if she posts on their FB page? Photo credits to?

Mike has amazing fortitude. We were lucky to spend time with him last year after his tour divide.

Sure, and there are a few more on my FB page at   https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=728335030562687&set=pcb.728335517229305&type=1&theater

Jason Lane crossed the interstate at Marshfield, MO right at 8 hours after Mike Hall, and looks like he is getting a room at the Holiday Inn Express.

Here is a shot of Mike Hall doing a track stand while waiting for the light to change while making his way through Marshfield, MO this afternoon.

gimmearaise

If you feel you need to know all the alternates you can purchase the maps from ACA like the racers do.

Billy Rice was wondering why some racers were taking ACA alternate routes without penalty.  Nathan Jones stated in the call-in above that all ACA alternate routes are fair game.  It clearly states this in the rules on the Trans Am race web site.

A few of the Spot's are not tracking too well, poor Jason Stephens is about 8km off shore...

Take a look at the Old Man Mountain racks.  I have used the Sherpa on my 29er.

Here is a journal from CrazyGuyOnABike where a couple toured the GDMBR and more on Surly LHT's.  They used racks and panniers.

I usually take a RikSak along.  Mostly just carry along empty, but is handy for picking up extra food, water, or beer to take to camp in the evening.  Weighs less that 3 oz.

Just Google "Tour Divide" select images, and you will have hundreds to view.  Go to YouTube and you can watch dozens of videos from those that have raced or toured.

Take a look at the Trans Canada Trail site.  They are working to link up all the trails across Canada.

Whitefish Bike Retreat can probably help with a shuttle to the border.

The Google Docs start list has a couple that state they aren't doing the Canada section.  Can't hardly say you are in for the Tour Divide start list if you plan to leave out Canada.  Pretty hard to stay on the mapped route if leave out a whole country.

I'd really like to trade the Sweet Roll, because Eric isn't making the small any longer.
