Sorry about this somewhat sheepskate way of doing this, via external link. But I'm packing for the next, longer one and time is limited.

Did an overnight with my girlfriend and her brother, neither of whom had bikepacked before. And we took the dogs along for an added thrill. See the pics. Read the story. Then go ride.

Great post and pictures.  I'm impressed that you can let your Jack Russell run free, we have two, without it getting into serious trouble.

I did an overnight with my Sally dog a few weeks ago, just up the Mesa race course from Palisade.  Had to 'portage' the dog on some of the faster road sections around Horse Mountain.

What route is this?
