Fusing the nature and the culture of this region be conceived the Tuscany Trail, route of 600 km to cover in bicycle.
This splendid tracing cross the Tuscany from North to South between single track, dirt roads and back roads.
To the uncontaminated nature of the Alps Apuane, of the Appennino Toscano, the Val d’Orcia and Argentanio add the beauty of art cities which Florence, San Giminiano, Siena, Pienza, Radicofani and Pitigliano.

The route, created form the experience of years of travels by bicycle, make supple also for some features of the Eroica and of the Via Francigena.

This is not a contest but an adventure, a challenge for who is wanted to be put to the test. Who will take this challenge will try to end as fast as possible.

Any photo galleries online from the event? Keen to do some riding in Italy soon and this appeals - mix of dirt roads and tarmac, is most/much of it do-able on a fat-tired road bike?

There are quite a few built into the website but I haven't found any sets online, yet. I know a number of the participants and if I find any, I'll share them.

That's a solid showing for a first year!  Wow.  Nice trailer, too.

Can you comment on the percentage of singletrack vs roads?   It looks like mostly dirt roads to me, based on what people are riding and what is shown in the video.

Great result for the first year, 80 participants and 40 finisher!
The most difficult part of the organization / planning of Tuscany Trail was finding dirt roads. Tuscany is very populated. I've never done this calculation but I think it is 50%. But the roads have very little traffic.

Besides wunnspeed and myself, who all is planning on winning up for this? Anyone flying in from the US/Canada? Or other English speaking countries?

Colorado here and I'm planning on traveling for this event in 2015. Planning on taking 14 days to not only ride the Tuscany Trail but also the Linguria Mtn Divide/ Alta Via Stage Route unsupported. Theres about a 40 mile gap between both routes and will total over 700 miles. If any one else is interested in one or both of these rides, Im all for having some company.
