Try it again with a different browser... I checked when I posted the link and again just now and it's working fine!

Alas, no CTR for me this year. I'm dealing with a business meltdown, and there's just no way that I can get away. Seriously bummed--I was really looking forward to my 4th start.

But my disappointment is mitigated somewhat after looking at the signup list on Trackleaders. Some familiar names out there this year. It will be an absolute blast following everyone, especially friends that I've made during previous CTRs. I'll be sending heaps of good vibes when I see someone pushing up a big hill, dodging a storm, or struggling against the demons of exhaustion.

Good luck to everyone. Be safe, ride fast, and savor every moment of a great adventure!

Looks like the first ITT rider Wayne Keith is rolling Northbound pretty good.

Would love to see the South bound guys start on Sunday morning from Watertown. Anyone know if they are definitely starting at 4 am?

I am CO Trail Foundation-donated, Trackleaders-signed-up, Water Canyon-starting and ready to go!

Planning on the 4:00am start so that the NoBo-SoBo comparison is as easy as possible. If anyone is joining in, I can get my lady to drop a scarf at 4:00am sharp or somethin' Wink ...probably best to be a bit on the down low about this start...

Happy with the 4:00am start, too. With the non-285 Tarryal detour in the mix, I'd like to get as close to Breck as possible on day #1. It's going to be... "interesting" if the last resupply on day #2 is Leadville (and BV all sound asleep). and the next is what, Silverton? If not, a wee hour start in BV before the big push is not my first choice, but I'll take it. Ha. Good plan Justin, "Let's not use a backpack on this race!" I'll be the dude looking like a marmot with whatever tent thievery was just gotten, stuffed to the cheeks.

ALLONS-Y!

Breathe deep you two.  I put in a request for the monsoons to end Saturday afternoon, so it oughta be worth waiting until Sunday morning!  :-)  Man, riding this year, I'm gonna miss watching you guys duke it out up front! Maybe I should carry my smartphone after all...  Ummm, nahh, I'll just ride.

Hey Bikepackeers, I have come down with a dental abscess and so can't start the race.  I am in Durango, but I already dropped my car in Denver, so if anyone wants me to drive their car back to the Denver/Boulder area give me a call at: three oh seven, 751-4965.

I will be riding (not racing) the CT starting Wednesday heading southbound so I will probably meet a fair number of you on the trail.  I will try and stay off the race line.  Wink

Thank you everyone for your contributions to the forum as it has helped my preparations and motivation.  Good luck to all the racers.  I will miss following the race this year, but its time for me to go out and give it a try, myself.

Anyone else is free to call in reports from the route. The more information the better.

Sweet setup! Are those just two fish quick cages for your water bottles? Im looking for better ways to hold my water and am wondering how well they will hold up on something like the CTR

Not sure if this will help many people, but I combined the elevation profiles of the differnt sections from the CTR website into a PDF so you can print them out on 2 sheets of paper

There's a link on this post
