Anyone know of a good site for snowpack in the La Sals? or if the trail is clear of snow as of april 2012?

Looking at this: http://www.nohrsc.nws.gov/interactive/html/map.html the KT seems to be snow free.

Here's what it looks like as of today.  No idea if it's mucky, but the snow seems to have receded...

I get the overlays here: http://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/earth/ and then open my track and overlay in Google Earth.  For the image posted, I turned on the snow cover layer and then the SWE layer.

Hey Jim, that's great! Not to go off the original topic here of the KPT but looking at the GDMBR I can see where all the snow is. Cool. This is one website I'll be eyeing closely for the next 8 weeks ;-)
