Can anyone who has done a pre-ride, explain exactly how to find the water spigot described on the cues at mile 135.7 (Noble canyon Trail - water spigot)? Is it on the left, or the right, next to a rock, under a bush? Thanks.
Anyone been on Maxxis Ignitor eXC/EXO tires on AZT terrain? It has performed great for me thus far with no sidewall issues where I know other tires would have been sliced. But nothing quite as aggressive as Arizona yet.
I went fully rigid. Steel frame, steel fork, no regrets. May have lost a little time on dark rocky downhills but piece of mind and 2lbs less is the trade off. Make sure your hands can deal with it. May be more prone to nerve issues with a rigid fork.
I think the pyramid structure is too rigid. Think more organically. Your physical fitness, resolve, and gear will almost undoubtedly fail at one point or another out there. You need to know that and expect it. They will however rarely fail you all at the same time. Be open to change, and allow one to compensate for another.
Anyone tried the Nemo GoGo bivy? More difficult to set up, a little heavier than a simple bivy, but looks like a happy medium for those who may prefer a more tent-like shelter. http://www.nemoequipment.com/nemo09-gogo-tent
