I put low density foam between my rim strip (split tube) and the rim. The foam compresses enough to let me get the bead on the rim, but it expands and creates a seal between tire and rimstrip, so I can easily reseat the bead with just my mini-pump and a bit of moisture to make the seal work.
Do you have pics of this setup ?

We use crocs, they are cushy and keep your feet somewhat warm when it is chilly and weigh very little. A good blend of comfort and weight.
I thought I hated crocs( had a pair several years ago ).... but I just looked at them again while shoe shopping with my kids, and I must say they do seem like a great option for lounging, water(dirty showers), and even light hiking & scrambling.

Looks like Kurt is up and moving around? His blue dot isn't with the others but down the street, they going to push on this morning after some sleep and refuel... Edit: nevermind looks like Kurt maybe stayed at his own room in a different motel
