Great first day. Thanks for the pics puerzer. Always cool to see the rides and the riders. I'm impressed with all the riders, i'm pretty sure I couldn't do this event. Following my brother in law who made it to Sparwood tonight. Keep up the good work everyone. I think I may need to ride tomorrow even if it isn't for 100+ miles like the rest of you.

Good luck to all who are racing and the ITT'ers. Hope you have great weather, great trails and no issues with the bikes or yourselves. Thanks Matt for such a great event. I'll be watching for sure on here as well as trackleaders (Thanks Scott).

I don't think i'm ever going to do this ride but i enjoy watching and reading about it. it is just my opinion, but here goes. Unless you have completed the event, i wouldn't judge or point out things I think anyone did wrong. Until I've spent 16-25+ days on the trail, i wouldn't try to judge someone else on their ride. Maybe others feel different.

Couldn't you connect the red trail N of Cumberland over to the pink trail around Williamsport by using some roadways to Cumberland and then the C&O canal from Cumberland to Williamsport? I haven't ridden any of these, but will be following the thread and riding the C&O from Cumberland to DC later this year.

Watching this from VA and I think we are currently getting the storms that you guys had at the start. Crazy amount of rain here, 4+ inches so far this afternoon and all the racers are animals for even starting this even without the weather. Makes my goal of the C&O canal with hotel stays seem pretty sad..

Thanks for the confirmation. Come July and August, I try to do most of my rides under dense tree cover to escape the heat. That way I only have the humidity to complain about. |
