Hey all, wondering if anyone has spraypainted x-pac fabric. Looking into it as a project. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for brand/type of spray paint for carbon fibre, I'd like to know. I have used Krylon Rust Protector to great effect on my rims, but they don't have it in the color I want (bubblegum/magenta) for my frame.

Many thanks

Paint doesn't work on fabric (besides fabric tape of course). It is rigid while fabric is flexible.

I'm sure spray paint will stick to Carbon Fiber if you first sand off or rough up the gloss layer of epoxy. However durability may be a concern.

I've used spraypaint that lasted years on cotton, but I know xpac is a particularly weird type of fabric. As a matter of fact, I think I actually have a scrap and I'll test it out and let you know the results.

As I said in my first post, I've used Krylon Rust Protector on clean carbon rims and its been durable. No sanding needed. Wondering if folks had experience with other brands.
