There are patterns and instructions for gear all over the internet. Maybe it is time to gather some of them into a thread.  Here are a couple someone posted in another thread.  Now I will be able to find them in 2 years if I feel like sewing a bivy.

I made the Nightwing Tarp Tent references in the first post of this thread:


A couple of deviations from the plans:
1.  Made it 1 foot longer
2.  Added extra tie out at mid point of each side
3.  Designed if for use with site found 'tent poles' (ie sticks/branches found on site)

As shown, only 6 stakes are required ( 4 corners + anchor for front and rear guy tie outs)

If I made another one, I would probably double the width of the netting around the perimeter of the bottom.

Not sure of the exact weight, but is about 1/2 the weight of the single person, 3 season tent with poles that I normally use.
Packed size is about  5" diam x 10 or 12", including tent, tyvek ground sheet and stakes.

Nice job on the night wing.
