Yippy...new gear

Alright!  My new sleeping bag arrived today--a Western Mountaineering Summerlite.  Waiting on one last piece of gear to arrive and I'll be hitting the trail for my first over nighter.  ETA, one week.  Can't wait.

Nice. The summerlite is a great bag. I have a highlite but I recommend the summerlite to a lot of people.

What else you waiting on?

I'll be sleeping with all the windows open tonight 

I debated over the highlite and the summerlite for a while.  In the end I decided to go for the slightly greater sleeping comfort offered by the full length zipper of the summerlite over the slightly lighter weight and size of the highlite.  Also factoring in on the decision was the fact that my wife and I bought a pair of bags and she's only 5' tall.  It was my understanding that they don't make the highlite in a length shorter than 6'.

Now I'm just waiting on a CDW saddle bag and bed roll then I'll be ready to go.
