Do any of you guys bike pack (on and off the road) with 700x42 or tires similarly sized?

I used them for a back roads tour with about a 60/40 mix of surfaces, after an uncomfortable ride on a previous back roads tour.

I selected them for their fast rolling centre rail on pavement and good edge grip on unsealed surfaces. They certainly provided a more relaxed, less stressful ride in loose surfaces.

I think that's a good side for mixed terrain. I also have Cazaderos and like them a lot, though I have switched over to the 650x47 WTB tires.  Unless you are expecting technical singletrack they will be fine.
