Any one know the word on the street about when the new harness will be done by Eric...i had asked him but frankly i dont want to be annoying and email him again to try to know more for certain.  I just need to begin to figure out if i need to utilize another solution as opposed to waiting for the Harness and potentially not have one in a decent enough time to start TD on June8th.

with that said, anyone have any other similar set up recommendations? i really like the idea of utilizing my own dry bag to fix it to the bars as opposed to Carousel design work's handlebar bag.  Open to any suggestions  icon_biggrin have a great day

I am getting ready to order one from 12wheels here on this forum. I've seen pics of his harness and own a few other items. He has good quality, reasonable prices, and ships quickly. Look him up.

Jeremy makes a handlebar harness. I ordered a custom frame bag and gas tank from him.
Here's a thread he posted a while back.

I made a harness and double-sided dry bag for myself this summer and it worked out well. Have since purchased a new sewing machine and done a slew of other bags. Over the next week or two, I'm going to construct a second one with a few modifications and an integrated dry bag. Will post my results in the MYOG forum.

I'm always interested in working with others for custom sewing projects. I've got some examples of past sewing projects (some for bikepacking, some not) on my blog:

That said, Jeremy's stuff is top notch.

I have almost a complete kit from Revelate, including seat bag, sling, and gas tanks. Great gear, and working with Eric has been terrific. Highly recommended. Alas, he doesn't make custom frame bags anymore, so I just ordered one from Tim at Phantom. So far, so good; Tim has been responsive and helpful. I'll follow up a review of the bag itself once it arrives.

UK versions here,

http://wildcatgear.co.uk/

Last time I was in their workshop they had a small stack of Harnesses in the corner so the might have them "in stock" ready to mail out.
Drop them an email.

They make great custom frame bags too, seeing as Eric has stopped the custom line.

Hi Guys,
Probably April-ish on the new Harness, still honing a few things. I do have some seconds of the earlier version however that I would sell at a steep discount.

Sorry I'm not doing the custom bags any more, it's a trade off for having all the core bags in stock and being able to develop awesome new bags
thanks

I just got my handlebar Harness from Greg: aka 12wheels, I had him add a pocket. I have a trip this weekend and will let you know how it proforms. I already have a seat bag and gas tank from him and they work great, so it should be perfect. Greg really trys to satisfy you. I got it really quick also.

Eric, no need to apologize for anything.  It makes me (and my friends) happy that someone like you is doing well enough to "make it" with a cottage industry.  You've contributed more than any other to the design and "field use/testing" of bags.  Keep doing what you do and good luck with your company.
