Hey,

I am looking to start or join a bikepacking group in the Sacramento area. I am thinking it could be gravel grinding, touring, and some route finding. Anyone from the Sacramento area? If I can get enouph people together we could start a meetup.com.

If I remember correctly, I think the dude that organizes the Sierra Trail Race is just up the hill a bit from you....Auburn or Colfax area maybe?

I don't know what the question is - but the answer is: Lubrication!

I am in Sacramento and have done some limiting bikepacking.  I'm currently recovering from knee surgery and out of the game until next year, but would be interested in some trips.

It's getting there, but will take about 6 (4 more) until I am released to start with activities.  We can definitely look at maps.  I've been pondering a ride from Sac to Auburn, around Lake Folsom, and back for something easy.

Have you ridden with Hammerin' Wheels or any of the other local groups?

I'm a little ways south of you in the Modesto area but would be interested in hearing about upcoming trips.

Not Sacramento , however I live in a great place to bikepack, and it's not too far from the state capitol. Feather Falls, it's bordered by the Plumas National Forest , I have done about a dozen over nighters and am looking for others to share good times with. Park at my home and ride miles and miles of forest service roads, gated logging roads and pavement, we have some really good places to ride!! One ride I do is to Little Grass Res. once around the lake to a camp spot for a total of 45 miles and about 6500 fotties , sound like fun ?

I'm in Fairfield and just discovered bikepacking. Haven't done any trips yet but would love to get together  with others to learn the basics.
