I've been giving it a try the last week or so and it seems ok.

Like to hear other experience with it. In my case it does not seam to recognize similar GPS tracks so even though I'm on the same ST section I can't compare the data...a bit frustrating...seems like the GPS drift algorithm used by Strava is a bit tight. I copy identical sections to make new segments and it still can't identify other similar tracks. Any experience, anyone??

Overall, it is a cool idea to be able to compare/ race against others via GPS recordings...

I've been using strava for about 6 months now and love it!  It's a great way to stay motivated, especially in the off season.  Earning a "King of the Mountain" is pretty rewarding and addicting.  The new segment explorer tool that they added last month is great for finding new segments to test yourself on...  I haven't experienced any problems regarding it not recognizing my tracks with my iPhone 4.

Thanks for the input Reeves...it is fun to find new segments and race against yourself and others. I'll keep using the product and see if the GPS drift issue gets settled out. The support at Strava seems to be really good and they are willing to correct any off tracks.

Also, like your blog...the trips in the Sierra are always fun. I'm down in Bishop, maybe one of these days we'll end up taking an adventure together. Got any Sierra plans brewing for this summer?
