Hi there

I'm looking for a new Bikepacking/Adventuretouring-Bike. We're going to spend half a year in South America this summer and so we need a bike. We prefer to ride as much as possible on gravelroads or singletails. Last year we rode the Arizonatrail on Fullsuspension-Bikes what was fine, but might not be the right choice for a longer journey.

Those things are important to me:

-preferable a aluminium frame (steel would be ok if the frame isn't too heavy...)
-Frontsuspension (ready)
-27.5 (up to 2.6") or 29" wheels
-mechanical disc brakes
-preferable 2x10(or 11) gear (1x11 would be an option)
-enough bottle cage mounts and the option to mount a lugguage rack

I'd prefer to buy a frameset and build the bike by myself.
So far I've found the Salsa Timberjack and the Specialized Fuse Fattie... Unfortunately Salsa doesn't sell the Timberjack Frameset in Europe.

Any advice?

Thanks

The Titan Version is not affordable for me...
Any thoughts about Bombtrack or Marin Pine Bikes?

The Bombtrack Beyond is a virtual clone of the Salsa Fargo. The Beyond Plus is built for 27.5” tires which would be very rare in South America. I don’t know about the Marin.
